Jesus loves you more than anybody you will ever know.
We know this is true because the Bible, God’s Word, tells us: “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. “ (John 15:13) Jesus, the Son of the God, was sent to die for us because God loves us and wants us to live forever with Him. God’s Word says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16, NKJV)
The reason God had to send His Son to die for us is because we are all sinners – we’ve all done bad things – “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23, NKJV).
That’s why Jesus had to die on a cross for us: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, (Jesus) Christ died for us. ‘(Romans 5:8, NKJV). Then, in Romans 6:23 God’s Word says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. “ (NKJV)
To receive the free gift that God offers, we need to admit that we have sinned. We, then, have to believe that Jesus, God’s Son, loves us and that He died for our sins on the cross. We must, lastly, confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior: “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10, NKJV) and “… whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13, NKJV)
To receive the free gift that God has to offer and to experience the love Jesus has for you, pray a prayer like the one below and truly mean it:
Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe by faith that you died on the cross for me. I ask you to come into my life and forgive me of my sins. I turn away from my ways and I trust you with my entire life. I give you my all. Save me Lord Jesus. I want to be born again. Thank you for loving me.. I will live for You the rest of my life. Amen.
If you prayed the prayer or one like it, you are now a part of the family of God forever: “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:13)
